Here’s the facts about the role:
As Treasury Accountant, you'll oversee the monthly accounting for treasury transactions, reconciling and reviewing balance sheet control accounts, and supporting day‑to‑day cash monitoring and bank account administration, including cover for the Treasury Assistant when necessary.
You’ll play a central role in supporting the Senior Treasury Manager and Group Treasurer in managing a £3bn+ loan portfolio. You’ll also prepare forecasts and budgets for finance costs and loan balances, reporting on variances and considering both UK GAAP and FRS 102 requirements.
In addition, you’ll provide a responsive and professional service to investors and funders, ensuring all information requests and regular returns are delivered on time. You’ll lead on Know Your Customer (KYC) returns, coordinating with internal teams as required.
You’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a strong understanding of current accounting standards and SORP, and demonstrable experience working within a Treasury function, including the interpretation of loan documentation. You’ll have proven experience of balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, alongside excellent customer service skills, enabling you to liaise confidently and professionally with investors and other key stakeholders, delivering work of the highest quality.
