We’re looking for a Senior Planning and Risk Manager with a sound understanding of the social housing environment to join our team! Contractually based in Portsmouth, this is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week. We offer a flexible approach to working between home and our offices in Portsmouth & Basingstoke, with 20% of your hours to be spent in the office to encourage collaboration with the business.

Here’s the facts about the role:

As Senior Planning & Risk Manager you’ll lead our corporate planning activities. You’ll oversee the team responsible for our insurance activities and the delivery of our risk management and business assurance programme, ultimately ensuring we’re compliant.

 

You’ll utilise your strong communication and interpersonal skills, liaising with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure our activities are aligned to the wider business plan. It’ll be your responsibility to stay informed of upcoming regulation + legislation changes, communicating these changes with other teams to ensure the business is prepared. You’ll be comfortable facilitating discussions at all levels of the business, to identify emerging risks, and will develop our understanding of risks and how we manage them.

 

You’ll have significant knowledge and practical experience of implementing best practice in control and assurance frameworks, risk management and compliance. You’ll also have knowledge of types of insurance cover and markets.

 

You’ll be leading a culture of risk assessment, management and control, at a strategic and operational level. As a VIVID manager, you’ll live our values and will drive improved performance within the team through coaching and mentoring staff as needed.
