Here’s the facts about the role:

As a home improvement officer, you’ll be managing VIVID’s home improvement cases. You’ll triage new requests as they’re received and will be able to manage any unauthorised improvement, as we're notified. All requests need to be correctly collated and recorded on our housing system, so strong attention to detail skills are required. You’ll follow our procedures in place to get requests resolved promptly and efficiently, keeping customers up to date with the status of their request. Consequently, you’ll need to be a strong communicator as you’ll be expected to confidently liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. This is a varied role that will also require your participation in our complaints process within the Major Works team, you’ll be supporting managers’ investigations into complaints raised by customers.

Strong administration and organisation skills are crucial for this role, as you’ll be preparing agendas, updating actions raised, and taking minutes for some Major Works meetings. This is a great opportunity to develop knowledge and skills within Major Works and utilise your initiative by identifying improvement opportunities to our processes and ways of working, with the customer’s experience at the forefront of your mind.

You’ll have an understanding of social housing or experience working within a similar industry and will be ready to utilise your knowledge and experience. As a home improvement officer, you’ll need experience in investigating, collating information, and producing detailed reports. In line with VIVID’s values you’ll be forward thinking and open to development and change, problem solving where necessary and keen to help VIVID grow.

Due to the nature of this role, you’ll be required to hold a full driving licence with a car available for business use, as occasional home visits may be required.

Interviews are due to take place Wednesday 1 May.
