We’re recruiting for an electrician to join our team, contractually based in Basingstoke and covering North Hampshire! The role is a full time, permanent position working 39 hours per week. You’ll also participate in the emergency on-call rota.  As part of the on-call rota, you'll be paid at very competitive rates. You'll live within a suitable distance to attend out of hours emergencies within a reasonable time frame.

Here’s the facts about the role:

As an electrician, you’ll carry out electrical repairs and installations to our domestic and commercial properties. You’ll make sure you work in line with all current IEE Electrical Regulations whilst maintaining high Health & Safety standards. You’ll fault find on circuits and appliances, carry out cyclical P.A.T testing and electrical testing.  You’ll also assist the building contracts team when required on programmed works.

 

You'll need to have City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & Part 2 + AM2 Certificate OR equivalent. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation along with 18th edition wiring regulation. 2391/4/5 (inspect & test) is desirable but not essential.

Please highlight on your application if you're working towards these qualifications, should you not yet have them.  You’ll be able to demonstrate good all-round electrical skills including testing, fault finding, repairs and installation. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be an advantage.

  • Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
  • A high degree of mobility, which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles
     

A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS check.
