Here’s the facts about the role:

As an End User Technology Support Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery, maintenance, and continual improvement of IT services across the organisation. Working as part of a collaborative IT team, you’ll assist with the evaluation, testing, trials, and proof-of-concept activities for new technologies and services, helping to develop project scopes, business cases, and implementation plans. You’ll also support Service Transition activities, ensuring new products and services are successfully introduced into live operation and incorporated into the IT service catalogue.

A key part of the role will involve supporting the employee lifecycle from an IT perspective. This includes provisioning system access for new starters, building and configuring hardware, delivering IT inductions, and ensuring new employees have the tools they need to be productive from day one. You will also process leavers and employee role changes, ensuring user accounts are updated or disabled appropriately, and that company-issued equipment is returned promptly.

You’ll help manage the lifecycle of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, communication devices, and associated technology, ensuring equipment is used effectively, maintained appropriately, replaced when necessary, and disposed of in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

We’re looking for a candidate with excellent technical troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software environments, combined with hands-on experience working within a busy IT Service Desk environment. The successful applicant will have previous experience in a similar IT support role and a proven ability to provide effective technical assistance while delivering high levels of customer service. Experience working within a structured IT department, following established processes, procedures, and service standards, is essential, along with the ability to prioritise workload, resolve issues efficiently, and work collaboratively as part of a wider IT team.

Interviews are due to take place WC 26 Oct (subject to change)
